About Us

We invite you to come, relax, savor our views, and enjoy our animals at Country Vistas Bed and Breakfast. We are a farmette peacefully situated on five acres atop a ridge with exquisite views to the north and south, surrounded by our landscaped flower gardens, vegetable gardens, fruit orchard, pastureland, and woodland.

We offer family-friendly, air-conditioned accommodations, a tranquil country atmosphere, a full country breakfast, and a hands-on farm animal experience for the children.
Our location serves as a home base for enjoying the many attractions of Lancaster County, as well as nearby Hershey and even the Gettysburg battlefields (about an hour and a half away). We will provide a free Lancaster County map and vacation guide and will be happy to make sight-seeing suggestions, call in reservations, or even arrange a dinner in an Amish home.

Choose from one of our four guest rooms which are clean, homey, and tastefully decorated.

Each room is fully air-conditioned, has a private bath, and features a king or queen bed with futons and cribs available for children.

A spacious sitting room, as well as a front porch with rockers and a large deck in the back, provide peaceful settings to relax and unwind, and all three areas have lovely views.

Strolling around the grounds or taking a walk to a nearby covered bridge affords another opportunity to soak in the country and be refreshed.

We'll start your day off with a hearty breakfast, often including fresh fruit from our orchard; fresh asparagus, strawberries, or raspberries from our patches; and, of course, fresh eggs from our chickens. This leisurely breakfast is enjoyed in our lovely, sunlit dining room, featuring skylights and a large picture window looking out onto our enchanting country vistas. Some of our guests have reported skipping lunch after enjoying this tasty and filling spread.

For children, the excitement of meeting our gentle pony "Billie" and holding the baby lambs and goats; of hand feeding the chickens, goats, and sheep; and of gathering eggs from the nests in the henhouse, promises to be a memorable experience. "Trixie", our shelte, is particularly lovable and friendly. There are swings to enjoy, basketballs to shoot, and tetherball to play. The large yard and grounds are great places to run around, play tag, climb trees, or play hide-and-go-seek.'

Our four boys: Samuel, Nathanael, Andrew, and Benjamin enjoy meeting and having fun with our young visitors.

As your hosts, our desire is to make you feel at home, to provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, and to facilitate your plans in making happy memories as a family. Many of our guests have remarked that their stay at Country Vistas provided a much-needed respite from the busyness, stress, and fast pace of everyday life and a fun and memorable experience for their children.
